This one-day mini retreat, hosted by Kingston Integrated Healthcare, is all about shifting focus.
From a place of rushing through life to a place of lingering in experience. From a place of tightness and tension to a place of stillness, slowness, and softness. From a place of doing things to get them done to a place of doing things for the sake of enjoyment.
We make this shift by deliberately bringing our attention to our present experiences with a sense of curiosity, patience, self-compassion, and without judging ourselves.
By becoming more aware of what’s happening moment by moment, we’re given freedom to respond in a new way. We don’t have to go down the same old “mental ruts” or engage in the same unhelpful patterns that have caused us problems in the past.
Mindfulness meditation provides us with space to connect with a more authentic and intuitive part of who we are. When we’re in touch with our true self, we can begin living more consciously, intentionally, and with a renewed sense of meaning.
This retreat is suitable for those with some mindfulness meditation experience.
